We spent our last meal at #Hollywood Hotspot #Yamashiro visiting with Executive Chef Vallerie @chefvallerie. Coincidentally, Steve and I went to middle and high school with Vallerie (Castillo) in the #Philippines!! Kind of a strange coincidence that I “re-met” her through a mutual colleague after all these years.

I’m always so proud when I see people from my childhood who have become successful in their respective fields. I always try to celebrate them and am genuinely happy for them. I think people spend too much time trying to act “unimpressed” by other peoples’ success. I don’t know why we consciously or subconsciously do this, but I do try to make an effort to intentionally give people the props that they deserve for the hard work that they’ve put into their careers.
