The Ebb and Flow of Life
This picture was taken at a friend’s #wedding a couple years ago...
I’m always fascinated with the ebb and flow of life. This past year I’ve witnessed a baptism, graduation, marriage, funeral, new births, divorce, and first love. I truly believe that our lives can only be appreciated by the contrasting experiences that come with truly living and engaging in a full life. It’s hard to appreciate true happiness without having experienced sorrow, to understand being loved well without having been loved poorly, or grasp the beauty of living without having been touched by death in some way. Today, I was so genuinely glad to witness the joy of marriage. Knowing that both of these beautiful people have had their share of heartbreak, it fills my heart to know that they will truly love and appreciate one another.
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
